What we are, and what we are not

We are a booking guide. We are not Thingvellir National Park, not a ticket seller for it and not the operator of any tour listed here. Every booking is made with the operator through the platform that lists it, and their terms govern it.

How we are paid

Booking links go to Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow one and complete a booking, the platform pays us a commission out of its own margin. You pay the same price whether or not you came through us.

Placement cannot be bought

No operator has paid to appear here, to appear higher, or to be described in a particular way. The tours featured at the top of the homepage were chosen for spread: a snorkel in the fissure itself, a Golden Circle coach day, and a private half-day with two hours in the park. The most-reviewed product we list is not among them, because it stops at Thingvellir only for photographs, and the cheapest is not either.

Where the figures come from

Prices, ratings, review counts, inclusions and cancellation terms are the operators’ own, taken from their listings on Viator and GetYourGuide on 10 September 2026, and shown as they stand. They move. Treat every price as indicative and confirm it on the booking page before you pay.

Facts about the park — parking and exhibition charges, opening hours, rules, dates and history — come from Thingvellir National Park’s own published pages, and the weather figures from the Icelandic Met Office. Those are ours to get right.

What we leave out

One GetYourGuide listing puts “Entry ticket to Þingvellir National Park” among its inclusions. The park charges no admission, so no card or page here repeats it. For the same reason we print no price for the Silfra permit: the park does not publish one on its static pages.

Ratings are theirs, not ours

We publish no ratings of our own and we mark up none of the operators’ ratings as structured data. The star scores and review counts are shown as visible text, labelled as the operator’s figures. The traveller reviews are paraphrases of real reviews left on those listings, never reproduced word for word and never invented.

Your rights

Nothing here removes any right you have against the operator or the platform. Read the cancellation terms on the booking page before you pay; every tour listed here refunds in full up to 24 hours ahead.
